New equipment expands DNP-NMR research capabilities at Ames Lab

Researchers at the U. S. Department of Energy Ames National Laboratory are advancing materials research with the installation of a new high-field Dynamic Nuclear Polarization Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (DNP-NMR) spectrometer. The system strengthens the lab’s DNP-NMR research capabilities by providing a much higher resolution for solid-state NMR experiments.

National labs provide opportunities for faculty to collaborate on research

The DOE Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Students Visiting Faculty Program (VFP) is designed for full-time faculty to collaborate on a research project at one of 15 DOE national laboratories for enhancing research capacity and innovating STEM teaching and learning at faculty members’ home institutions.
