CMI outreach event for National Engineers Week attracts most diverse group, reaches more underserved students

Achievement
CMI at Colorado School of Mines planned and delivered the National Engineers Week event on February 21, 2023, which attracted the most diverse group and the most underserved students in the nine years that CMI has helped plan the event. 

Significance and Impact

  • More than 60 students and their parents attended the one-day event at Colorado School of Mines.
  • CMI offered tours of research and laboratory spaces as well as of the critical materials exhibit that CMI created and curates at the Mines Museum of Earth Science.
  • CMI education and workforce development planned the event with partners at Mines, industry and a national laboratory.
