Achievement
CMI Project Lead Jun Cui, Ames National Laboratory, was elected to the Steering Committee for the International Workshop on Rare Earth and Future Permanent Magnets and Their Applications (REPM) during the 28th event in Tsukuba, Japan, July 27-31, which included 365 participants from 24 countries.
Significance & Impact
- The REPM is a biennial event on advances in rare earth permanent magnet from fundamental research to industrial applications with focus on design, processing, recycling, and sustainable alternatives.
- The meeting is planned by planned by the Steering Committee and International Advisory Committee, in coordination with a local organizing committee.
- REPM 2027 will be held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
