Achievement
The Critical Materials Innovation Hub held the CMI Phase III Kick-Off Event in Ames, Iowa, with more than 155 people from 45 industry, university and national laboratory partners and the U.S. Department of Energy participating in dozens of meetings.
Significance and Impact
- CMI Team members and Affiliates heard from leaders at the U.S. Department of Energy, from efforts around new standards from NIST, and perspective from industry on opportunities for future research
- In CMI Team member sessions, CMI Director Tom Lograsso and CMI Focus Area Leads described the Energy Innovation Hub concept of collaboration and how it has been shown to speed innovation and adoption of new technologies
- Research groups and projects held technical planning meetings with members from industry, universities and national laboratories
