CMI researchers from Idaho National Laboratory conducted the activity for this highlight

Achievement
CMI rolled out its first internship program to place non-CMI students at national laboratories. 
Katelyn Wilson from Navajo Technical University was onboarded in June 2024 for a 10-week summer internship at Idaho National Laboratory.

Significance and Impact
Increase CMI’s reach to the underserved communities and provide disadvantaged students with an opportunity to work at national laboratories that would not be offered otherwise.
