During the 2026 CMI Winter Meeting at Colorado School of Mines, CMI offered the opportunity for students and early career researchers to network with professionals from industry as well as universities and national laboratories.

  • During the meet-and-greet held at the Mines Museum of  Earth Sciences, CMI early career researchers connected with CMI Team members from industry, as well as from universities and national laboratories.
  • Attendees visited the CMI exhibit at the Mines Museum of Earth Sciences, including a series of lights powered by solar panels installed on the building.

  • Training the critical materials workforce of the future. 
  • Providing the leaders, technical experts and skilled professionals needed by U.S. industry to assure supply chains.
