CMI researchers at Colorado School of Mines conducted the activity for highlight

Innovation 

Graduate student Carl Gorski received recognition for his presentations showcasing Bear Lodge research, which demonstrates the potential to process oxidized rare-earth deposits without the use of water.

Achievement 

  • Carl was awarded “Best Oral Presentation” of 65 interdisciplinary research presenters at the Mines’ Graduate Research and Discovery Symposium.
  • The presentation about the Bear Lodge project received the prestigious “Best Presentation” award at TechConnect World 2025, recognized as one of the largest global innovation platforms.

Significance and Impact

The CMI Hub research project was recognized as a leading initiative for advancing the efficiency of rare-earth mineral beneficiation processes.
