CMI education and outreach staff attended national training through the STEM PUSH Network.

Significance and Impact

  • CMI promotes Education and Workforce Development, including for its staff designing STEM products and events for youth and adults.
  • From CMI Team member Colorado School of Mines, Cynthia Howell leads CMI educational outreach efforts, which includes collaborating with teacher/researcher Danielle Ladd in developing lesson plans to accompany the CMI educational toolkit (reviewed annually), available online at https://www.ameslab.gov/cmi/cmi-lesson-plans.
  • In collaboration with the national STEM PUSH Network, Howell and Ladd attended a national learning community convening for Pre-College STEM partners focused on underserved communities, held at the University of Pittsburgh.
