Celeste Stroup, Colorado School of Mines, is Lead for CMI Education and Workforce Development. With an emphasis on science communication, community building, and supporting people to thrive in their roles, Stroup brings a people-centered approach to developing the critical materials workforce. She joined Mines as Education and Outreach Program Manager and continues in that role. Previously, Stroup supported K-12 education and outreach at the National Lab of the Rockies while exploring non-traditional pathways to lab employment, and served as a secondary science educator for eight years across Washington, Maryland, Oregon, and Colorado. Additional professional experience includes work as a career counselor graduate intern. Outside her professional roles, Stroup has volunteered as a girls soccer coach and a reading partner. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology Teaching and a Master's in Higher Education from Central Washington University, and a Master of Science in Environmental Policy and Management in Energy and Sustainability from the University of Denver.
