Meet CMI Commercial Council Leader

Julienne KrennrichJulienne Krennrich became leader of the CMI Commercial Council after it began during CMI Year 6. She joined Ames Laboratory as Program Manager for Innovation Partnerships and Technology Transfer, effective June 4, 2018. She leads the team in developing, enhancing and maintaining long-term strategic partnerships with industrial sponsors and partners. She also serves as Ames Laboratory Laboratory’s Technology Transition Officer, represents the Laboratory at DOE and as part of the National Laboratory Technology Transfer (NLTT) executive group, the Technology Transfer Working Group (TTWG), and the Federal Laboratory Consortium.

Krennrich previously worked for Iowa State University as Assistant Director of the Engineering Research Institute which gave her broad program management experience, including negotiation of complex awards and contracts. She also worked extensively with federal and industry partners to advance strategic research and commercialization goals.

Krennrich earned a PhD from ISU in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics with an emphasis on the electromagnetic properties of strongly correlated electron systems, particularly those found in some classes of high temperature superconductors. She also holds an MBA in Finance from ISU.
