Development of critical materials workforce to serve U.S. resource criticality needs.

Achievement
Dr. Rambabu Kuchi was hired as Scientist I (July 2024) within CMI at Ames National Laboratory, following postdoctoral training in critical materials R&D at Ames Lab.

Significance and Impact
Dr. Kuchi has played a key role in the optimization of Sm-Fe-N synthesis and magnet fabrication technology and developed new processes for α’’-Fe16N2 and Nd-Fe-B, yielding several publications. His transition to permanent status at Ames greatly aids magnet development efforts within CMI.
