CMI Project Lead receives Laboratory Space Manager Award

CMI Highlight: CMI Project Lead receives Laboratory Space Manager Award

CMI researchers at Oak Ridge National Laboratory conducted the research for this highlight.

Innovation
Established a new ventilated radiological facility and deployed a 24-stage mixer-settler system, creating a unique capability for continuous, process-relevant testing of CMI separation technologies.

Achievement

  • Marcy Lamb, project lead for CMI 1.2.2, received the 2026 Laboratory Space Manager (LSM) Award in recognition of her outstanding leadership in establishing and managing the facility.
  • Led the installation, commissioning, and operational deployment of the 24-stage mixer–settler system.
  • Created the infrastructure needed to advance separation technologies from batch-scale experiments to continuous, multistage process demonstrations.

Hub Target Addressed
