CMI leadership led a panel at the American Chemical Society Fall 2026 conference.

CMI Director Tom Lograsso, Ames National Laboratory, moderated a panel "Sustainable Recovery of Critical Minerals and Materials," which included CMI Deputy Director Ian Lange, Colorado School of Mines, and the DOE program manager for CMI Helena Khazdozian. 

Significance and Impact
ACS is one of the worldโ€™s largest scientific societies and the premier home of chemistry professionals. The panel on August 24, 2026, 
was part of the ACS event held in Chicago that brought together more than 11,700 chemists, researchers, engineers and industry leaders.
