Fred Perras has been named as the inaugural postdoctoral Spedding Fellow and is working in Marek Pruski's group specializing in DNP-NMR research. The award was officially announced by Director Adam Schwartz at the annual State of the Laboratory address on May 14.

Iowa State University student Catherine Meis has been named a 2015 Goldwater Scholar, the nation's premier undergraduate scholarship in mathematics, natural sciences and engineering. Meis, a former Ames Laboratory Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) program student, is a third-year student, majoring in materials engineering with a minor in bioengineering.
