Work proceeds on innovative approach to coronavirus testing at Iowa State

Iowa State and Ames Lab researchers continue work on a new testing platform that could detect coronavirus particles in the air without the necessity of a laboratory to process the results. The scientists have had to take an innovative approach to their work to negotiate the challenges of physical distancing. Marit Nilsen-Hamilton, a professor in the Roy J. Carver Department of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology and an Ames Lab associate scientist and Pranav Shrotriya, an ISU mechanical engineering professor and Ames Lab associate are involved in the project.
