CATS Mini-workshop on MnBi2Te4 compounds

MnBi2Te4 (MBT) is currently one of the most exciting magnetic topological materials. By forming a natural heterostructure of magnetic and topological electronic layers, these materials hold promise for hosting a variety of topological states, such as the quantum anomalous Hall insulator, axion insulator, and Weyl semimetal state. Research on MnBi2Te4 is strongly aligned with CATS research goals. On June 30 2020, CATS held a virtual mini-workshop to discuss the latest research developments in the MBT system, identify open questions and research opportunities, and assemble collaborations and plan future research.
