Research expertise in design, fabrication, and processing of magnetic materials:
(1) Powder metallurgy, additive manufacturing and recycling methodologies to develop permanent magnets and find substitutes to expensive and critical rare-earth permanent magnets.
(2) Synthesis, assembly and processing of hard and soft magnetic nanostructures/microstructures under normal and inert atmosphere.
(3) Employing advanced microscopy/spectroscopy, materials analysis and magnetic characterization techniques.
(4) Microstructure-properties relationship in materials with particular emphasis on magnetism.

(1) Powder metallurgy, developing novel materials/processing methods in an attempt to save critical materials such as rare earths, developing bonded permanent magnets using additive manufacturing
(2) Nanostructured materials (0D, 1D, 2D), self-assembly, nano-dispersion, surface functionalization, metals, metal oxides, metal alloys, semiconductor, hybrid nanomaterials, permanent magnets
(3) Shape and size dependence physical/chemical properties of nanostructures, exchange bias (metal/metal oxide), anisotropy, magnetization reversal
(4) Applications of nanomaterials in advanced functional devices (Sensors, Biomedical, Spintronics, Permanent magnet (Nanocomposite magnet)
(5) Advanced microscopy/spectroscopy, materials characterization and analysis
