Congratulations to the Cedar Falls High School team for winning the 33rd annual Ames National Laboratory/Iowa State University Regional Science Bowl! The competition took place on the Iowa State University campus on Saturday January 28th.

A total of 18 teams braved the snowy weather and traveled to Iowa State to compete in this year’s competition. The competition began in the morning, with the final matches taking place in the afternoon. Ranking from the final matches are as follows: Ames High School took second place, Valley High School took third place, and Pleasant Valley High School took fourth place overall.

The Cedar Falls High School team will represent the Iowa Region at the U.S. Department of Energy National Science Bowl (NSB)® April 27-May 1, 2023, in Washington, DC.
