Abstract

s ability to operate at elevated temperature, the deformation processedwires were heat treated at 260 degrees C to transform the Ca reinforcing filaments to Al2Ca. The transformation raised tensile strength by as much as 28%, caused little change in ductility, and reduced electrical conductivity by 1-3%.
