Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (ICP-MS)

Invented at Ames Lab, ICP-MS is a type of mass spectrometry.  This technique can detect a specific range of metalic and non-metalic materials at concentrations below one part per trillion.

Developed by Ames Lab researcher Ed Yeung, the MCE is used for DNA analysis and is condidered the "gold standard"  of sequences technology.
