- “Extraordinary Responsive Rare Earth Materials” research area. The research activity is focused on the in situ structural characterization of R5(Si1 xGex)4 alloys using x-ray powder diffraction technique from 5 to 300 K and in magnetic fields from 0 to 4 T.
- Works on extraordinary responsive intermetallic compounds (mainly R5T4, R = rare earth, T = Si, Ge, Sn, Sb), RCo2 intermetallic compounds and other materials containing rare-earth metals. In addition, provides assistance in the hourly work of students and post-docs; performs heat-capacity, magnetization, and x-ray measurements for scientists from around the world.
