Secretary of Energy to Visit Ames Laboratory

Washington, D.C. -- On Wednesday, August 28, 2002, Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham will visit the department's Ames Laboratory on the Iowa State University campus. He will tour the Lab's research facilities and participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Lab's new Midwest Forensics Resource Center. Secretary Abraham will be accompanied by U.S. Representative Tom Latham. They will view forensics research and homeland security-related research. The tour and ceremony are open to the press.
