Fuel-Cell Workshop
Ames Laboratory will host a workshop prior to the competition for coaches, assistant coaches, administrators, teachers and/or parent helpers of the 16 competing teams. Participants come to Ames for a day to learn about hydrogen and how to build a fuel-cell car. Last year's workshop was a huge success! Although not mandatory, the workshop is highly recommended. For questions regarding registration or the workshop, contact Deb
Samuelson, (515) 294-9557 or Steve Karsjen (515) 294-5643.

Fifteen teachers and students representing eleven schools participated in the workshop to learn about hydrogen fuel technology and how to build a car. The teachers helped their middle school teams build fuel-cell cars for the 2008 Science Bowl car-race competition. |
